OVERVIEW
I am a Midwesterner through and through, but I do have a little bit of Southerner blood in me as well. I was born in Illinois but grew up mostly in northwest Arkansas in the heart of Walmart country.
After high school, I journeyed back north and attended the University of Illinois. After undergraduate school, I moved to Madison for my first job and ended up loving the area and decided to make this my home. I’ve worked for several large companies including Epic, American Girl/Mattel, and Zendesk. I also received my MBA from the University of Wisconsin in 2019.
My love for personal finance started while I was engaged to my wife, Beth. I realized that I wanted to figure out how to set our family up well for the future, so I dug into learning as much as I could about building and securing wealth with the ultimate goal of living with generosity for my family and our community. Over the years, my love for learning about personal finance grew to knowing I wanted to help others with their financial journey.
I help my clients build their financial house. I believe that a sound financial plan starts with clear goals and objectives and is the foundation on which any investment strategy is built. Whether you have questions or concerns ranging from how you can best secure your family in the case of a loss of income to wondering if you are on track for retirement, I would love to partner with you to plan for those scenarios and everything in between.
In my free time, I enjoy biking the lake loop with my wife and son, Oakley. I also enjoy playing Ultimate Frisbee, basketball, and golf while my body can still handle it. My Achilles has told me otherwise recently, though. I’m active in my church here in Madison, and you may also find my wife and me checking out a local coffee shop on the weekends.
