Bryan Hoppe, CFA®, CFP®

Vice President

My Professional Approach

As a financial advisor and member of Cunningham, Gregory, & Hoppe Wealth Management at the Wheaton, IL, office of Benjamin F. Edwards & Co., I consider it an honor to serve as my clients’ “personal CFO” and to help them achieve their financial goals.

My Background

I started as a financial advisor in 2016 after spending the first portion of my career helping develop Christ-centered microfinance institutions in some of the most complex, challenging environments in the world. Despite having followed a path less traveled, the experience instilled in me a passion for walking alongside clients to help them meet their ever-changing needs, and it ingrained in me the importance of doing so with integrity, competence, and compassion.

When I’m not working, my wife Leeann and I are enjoying our toddlers Whitaker and Jude and our pup Comiskey. We enjoy city life, sports, and investing in our church.

Education

  • New York University, Master of Public Administration—Public and Nonprofit Management and Policy
  • University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering and Design
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), 2014* and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®), 2018**

What is a CFA? A chartered financial analyst (CFA) is a professional designation given by the CFA Institute, formerly the Association of Investment Management and Research (AIMR), that measures the competence and integrity of financial analysts. Candidates are required to pass three levels of exams covering areas, such as accounting, economics, ethics, money management, and security analysis.

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Center for Financial Planning, Inc. owns and licenses the certification marks CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®, and CFP® (with plaque design) in the United States to Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc., which authorizes individuals who successfully complete the organization’s initial and ongoing certification requirements to use the certification marks.
