TRUST. INTEGRITY. MUTUAL RESPECT.

“Why Omada?”

Our desire to team up was inspired by the understanding that there is strength in numbers- strength in diversity of thought, opinion, and experiences, while being rooted in a consistent approach. This enhances our scope of advice, elevates our opportunity to collaborate, and results in better support for our clients. “Omada,” the Greek word for “team,” accurately embodies our strength in numbers. It also highlights our desire to work alongside our clients to pursue their financial goals.

Todd Brandstadt, CFP®, CIMA®

Regional Director, Managing Director – Investments, Branch Manager

My Background

After graduating from Kalamazoo College in 1993, my interest in the financial services industry took me to Chicago to work for the Chicago Board of Trade in the Office of Investigations and Audits.  In 1995, I started my career advising clients with A. G. Edwards & Sons, Inc.  In 2014, I had the pleasure to open the Benjamin F. Edwards office in Grand Rapids as the Branch Manager.  For 27 years, I most enjoyed the relationships I have developed with all my clients, and in some cases multiple generations. As a commitment to serving my clients, I satisfied the education, examination, experience, and ethics requirements for the CFP® certification in 2006 and the CIMA® certification in 2020. Recently my partner, Debbie Tallman, and I welcomed a third partner, Scott McPheeters. Sandy Williams, our Senior Registered Financial Client Associate and Michelle Ellison, our Senior Financial Client Associate, assist the entire team to fulfill our client goals and objectives.

I have been married to Bonnie for 28 years and we have five children, Nicholas (24), Jackson (21), Cameron (19), Mollie (16) and Ellie (14).  Outside of the office, I spend most of my time centered around my family and all their exciting activities.  I enjoy staying active with outdoor activities and we especially love spending time with our extended family at the family cottages in the summer.

Financial Advisor, Managing Director – Investments

My Background

After growing up in Saginaw and attending Western Michigan University I relocated to Florida where I put my degree in agricultural science to use as a plant nursery manager. Quickly realizing that my future did not rest in this field, I joined A. G. Edwards & Sons, Inc in 1984 and thus began my career in financial services and my relationship with the Edwards family. In 1988, I moved to Grand Rapids to be closer to family. I solidified my commitment to this business and my clients by earning my Certified Financial Planner Certification (CFP®) in 1990. Recently my partner, Todd Brandstadt, and I welcomed a third partner, Scott McPheeters. Sandy Williams, our Senior Registered Financial Client Associate and Michelle Ellison, our Financial Client Associate, assist the entire team to fulfill our client goals and objectives.

This career has rewarded me first and foremost with the opportunity to get to know my clients and serving their interests. Helping individuals and families reach their financial goals since 1986 has truly been a privilege. Working closely with my clients, I have been able to map out a plan for their future, including educational planning, retirement, and planning for future wealth transfers. It is exciting to be able to go along with them on this ride which can be wild at times!

My husband, Jeff, and I have five adult children, two grandchildren and a sweet little toy poodle named Gidget. When not working we enjoy spending time together and with family, traveling and hiking in the great outdoors.

Financial Advisor, Vice President – Investments

My Background

My career in financial services began in 2005 after graduating from Calvin College.  Early in 2021, after fifteen years with another firm, I joined Benjamin F. Edwards. Recently I joined Todd Brandstadt and Debbie Tallman as a partner on the Omada Wealth Advisors team.  Michelle Ellison, who has worked with me for fourteen years, also works alongside us on the Omada Wealth Advisors team. Michelle, our Financial Client Associate and Sandy Williams, our Senior Registered Financial Client Associate, who has worked with Todd and Debbie since 2003, works with us to fulfill our client goals and objectives. We enjoy partnering with our clients and their other trusted advisors to define financial goals, develop strategies to reach these goals, and regularly review our progress. As a commitment to serving my clients, I satisfied the education, examination, experience, and ethics requirements for the CFP® certification in 2022.

I have been married to Heidi for 17 years and we have two children, Ellery (8), and Graham (5), and a goldendoodle, Sadie. Outside of the office, our family can most often be found enjoying the outdoors- spending time at the family cottage, boating, biking, and running in the summer months, and embracing northern Michigan’s ski hills during the winter.
