Gwendolyn Madison Taylor is the Chief Legal Officer of Benjamin F. Edwards, directing the firm’s legal strategy across all regulatory, transactional, and risk management matters. Joining the firm in 2019, she is a seasoned financial services professional with a deep background in highly regulated environments. She partners closely with key stakeholders to align legal frameworks with corporate strategic priorities, delivering disciplined, pragmatic, and business-focused solutions.
She previously served as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Stern Brothers, managing legal and regulatory oversight for investment banking, capital markets, supervisory infrastructure, and enterprise risk. Earlier in her career, she spent eight years as Compliance Counsel for Edward Jones, advising on regulatory matters, supervision, firm-wide operations, and strategic compliance initiatives.
Gwendolyn holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Clark Atlanta University and a Juris Doctor from Saint Louis University School of Law. She also maintains FINRA Series 7, 66, 9, 10, 24, and 53 licenses.
Outside of her professional role, Gwendolyn enjoys reading, creative projects, and traveling with her husband and two daughters, particularly to coastal destinations.
