With more than four decades of experience helping individuals and families navigate their financial lives, Anne McCarver brings deep industry knowledge, seasoned perspective, and a lifelong commitment to client service.

Anne joined Benjamin F. Edwards in 2024 and is based in Newport, Rhode Island. She began her career in the financial services industry in 1979 and has guided clients through multiple economic cycles, market environments, and life transitions. Throughout her career, she has remained focused on one goal: helping clients make informed financial decisions with clarity and confidence.

In addition to serving clients, Anne has held a number of notable leadership positions within the financial services industry. She was among the first female National Training Officers at Smith Barney and later became the firm’s eighth female Branch Manager. In these roles, she mentored advisors, cultivated high-performing teams, and helped shape the development of future industry leaders.

Anne is equally passionate about education and community involvement. She served as an Adjunct Professor of Investment Management at Salve Regina University, where she taught Investment Planning to senior-level students. Her commitment to financial education and civic leadership has also included service with organizations such as the Rhode Island Foundation Advisory Board, the City of Newport Trust and Investment Commission, and the Newport Yacht Club, where she served as Treasurer. Anne is also an active member of PEO, a philanthropic internation group focusing on continued higher education for disadvantaged women.

Over the years, Anne has been honored to participate in several national and international initiatives. She contributed to discussions on the future of the oil and gas industry in Washington, D.C., participated in a Rotary International Group Study Exchange to the Philippines, and worked with the Securities Industry Association in support of legislation that helped establish the Roth IRA.

Today, Anne combines extensive experience with a highly personal approach to wealth management. She believes that successful financial planning begins with understanding each client’s unique goals, values, and aspirations. Her mission is to provide thoughtful guidance, trusted advice, and long-term relationships that help clients pursue financial confidence through every stage of life.

Community Involvement

Anne has been actively involved in civic, educational, and philanthropic organizations throughout her career. Her service has included leadership and board positions with the Oklahoma City Symphony Board, the Oklahoma Foundation for the Disabled, the Rhode Island Foundation Advisory Board, and St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, where she currently serves on the Leadership Committee.

Outside the office, Anne enjoys spending time in the Newport community, supporting local organizations, and building meaningful connections that strengthen the communities she serves.
