My Background

After graduating from Cornerstone University in 1999, my passion for helping people live fulfilled lives began. I started my career in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry, where I gained valuable experience in clear and practical communication skills that continue to serve me well today.

Financial Industry Experience

For the past eight years, I’ve focused on serving clients and our community in the financial industry. In 2023, I joined Benjamin F. Edwards as a Financial Advisor, and I feel truly blessed to love what I do while building a career that makes a difference.

Our Team

I work alongside my partner, Megan Adams, with whom I’ve collaborated for seven years. Together, we thrive on making client service our top priority. We welcome new clients who appreciate a professional, energetic approach to investing. Over the past year, it’s been a joy to see my son, Aiden Gortmaker, join our Financial Advisor team here in Wyoming. His contributions have been a tremendous asset to our Benjamin F. Edwards family.

Family & Personal Life

I’ve been married to Bethany for 26 years, and we have four wonderful children: Aiden (22), Gracie (20), Lily (18), and Myla (16). Our family enjoys spending time outdoors—camping, fishing, golfing, and hunting—and cheering on our daughters in their various sports. I also enjoy coaching and staying connected to the game of basketball. A significant part of our lives is being actively involved in our church community in Grand Rapids.
