MY PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

After graduating from the University of Georgia, I enrolled in the A.G. Edwards financial advisor training program and earned my Series 7 brokerage license and my Accredited Asset Management SpecialistSM(AAMS®) designation.After completing my training, I returned to Albany to work with my mother, Marilyn. In 2006, I married and moved to Alpharetta where I worked as a registered sales associate in another branch. Three years later, I rejoined my mother’s practice, which had moved to the Atlanta area.My husband and I are the proud parents of a toddler son. I also play team tennis with ALTA and USTA.

What is an AAMS®? Earning the ACCREDITED ASSET MANAGEMENT SPECIALISTSM, or AAMS®, certification from the College for Financial Planning means that a financial advisor has successfully completed a course of study, passed an exam, and is compliant with a Code of Ethics, which includes agreeing to abide by the Standards of Professional Conduct. In addition, the designation is subject to renewal requirements every two years, which in includes the completion of 16 hours continuing education, and a reaffirmation to the Code of Ethics.

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Center for Financial Planning, Inc. owns and licenses the certification marks CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®, and CFP® (with plaque design) in the United States to Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc., which authorizes individuals who successfully complete the organization’s initial and ongoing certification requirements to use the certification marks.
