OVERVIEW
I have had the pleasure of working in the financial services business since 2007. During that time, I have worked diligently to help my clients prepare financial plans and investment approaches designed to meet their short and long-term goals.
When you get right down to it though, it all starts with a conversation. It is essential for me to sit down with my clients and listen to them talk about their personal financial situation, their investment goals and experience, not to mention their tolerance for risk. During these discussions, I ask a lot of questions and I listen carefully to the responses. At the same time, I want my clients to ask me questions about my investing and client service philosophies and strategies.
From these conversations, we’ll develop a financial plan and investment strategy that fits your individual circumstances. We’ll review it together- carefully—and, with your approval, put it into action. From that point on, I’ll keep track of its progress, and meet with you periodically to review our results. If something isn’t working as intended or your circumstances have changed, we’ll work together to make the necessary adjustments.
For me, these steps represent the pillars of the client-centered investment approach we offer at Benjamin F. Edwards.
MY BACKGROUND
I joined Benjamin F. Edwards in 2018. In addition to my client work, I also have experience working in high-net worth portfolio construction and implementation.
My wife Lauren and I, along with our 3 daughters, Sofia, Hazel and Avery and our dog Bailey live in Valparaiso, Indiana. Outside of work, I am involved with First Tee, an organization that teaches character enrichment through several guiding principles and reinforced while learning the game of golf. In addition, I am active with Autism Speaks, and I serve on the board of the YMCA in Valparaiso.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, golfing, and playing basketball.
